Vertrano has been a three year starter at quarterback for Pelham and led his team to a Section 1 semifinal appearance and a Section 1 championship appearance in that time. Vertrano has a strong arm and quick feet on offense. The Pelicans installed a spread formation to use his dual threat ability this season. Defensively, Vertrano is very good. He’s a physical player with good size, and truly understands how the game is played. Vertrano is a defensive back or even an outside linebacker at the next level. His college interests are currently unknown.
